Have you become accepting of limited mobility, aches and pains, tight shoulders and aching lower back? Doing yoga asanas at home and in the studio is very different. In addition, yoga studio practice is very different to doing yoga in the gym. Why, one would ask? At home, you are going to miss out on the asanas that you don’t like and asanas that need input, resulting in a stale practice. Gyms are over-subscribed for classes with long waiting lists, meaning you can’t always practice yoga and that means the quality of the class never picks up as you may have dabblers and beginners in all the classes and people who just want to stretch and not progress in yoga.
With the variety of teachers and classes, you will never get bored with us and you will keep progressing with us. Our classes will get you hooked on yoga. Beginners ashtanga will move you on to improvers and hot yoga to vinyasa flow yoga. Gerrards Cross yoga studio is 4 minutes walking distance from the overground Railway station. Its accessibility via a single connection from the M40 also makes it a convenient option for Amersham yoga. Fulmer yoga is 4 minutes drive from our studio. As a slightly claustrophobic sceptic, I had put off my gift of a session in the flotation tank for some time. It was a case of now or never, so last night I took the plunge (!). I didn't think I would, but I climbed into the clam like structure, closed the lid and turned off the lights immediately. It was more welcoming than I had expected and the fact that it was pitch-dark and top sealed did not faze me. I loved the sensory deprivation and being alone with a complete sense of calm and relaxation was worth getting wet for. It did not feel, to me, like being in water, more like floating in space. It was an hour well spent, as I slept like a baby with the added bonus of really soft skin. I'll definitely do it again.

When I arrived at Yoga Hook, I was immediately made to feel at ease by the welcoming and friendly team at reception. I tried the flotation therapy experience which was amazing and I felt genuinely relaxed and peaceful both during the session and afterwards also. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone who is looking to de-stress, relax and recharge their batteries and I will certainly be going again soon!
